Who can apply for help in our Trust?

Deserving student’s school and college students who are reasonably good in their studies and has interest in continuing their higher education.
School Students – Preferably classes 9, 10 , 11 and 12th
College Students – Students who are completing their 12th and are about to join higher education.

What are the programs we have as of now?

  • Dr.Kalam Scholarship scheme (Providing Education for school students)
  • Dr.Kalam Scholarship scheme (Providing Higher Education)
  • Mentorship program
  • Payirchi Pattarai – (Training programs for Government schoolstudents)
  • Udavum Karangal – (Developing the basic infra structure of government schools)

Is financial assistance provided for students only in Tamilnadu?

As of now, we are focusing our activity within the state of Tamilnadu. With time, encouragement and participation of more volunteers we wish we take it across India

Apart from supporting education to students, what do we do for the betterment of school students?

We conduct training programs and workshops to equip the students for necessary skills. Sessions on Personality Development, Value Education, and Computer training’s, career guidance, Leadership, Management and Student Well being are conducted through these workshops exclusively for government school students in rural areas.

Who are eligible to apply?

We support the students for both schools and colleges who comes under following categories
1. Orphan
2. Fatherless / Single Parent
3. Students who’s parent(s) is/are affected by chronic illness
4. under privileged(Family income less than 1L)

What are the courses in which support is provided from the Trust?

School Students – Preferably classes 9, 10 , 11 and 12th
College Students – Arts and Science, Medicine, Engineering, Polytechnique courses.

When and why was the Trust formed?

Established on 14th  June’18 , aims to provide quality education to the under-privileged and deserving school and college students.

When to apply?

You can apply from January to April

How to apply?

School – School Students with good attitude and interest to study with reasonable marks are referred by our team members directly or such students can directly apply to our Trust seeking for educational support. As a first step the students have to submit the filled request form along with necessary documents to the committee.

College – 12th Students with good attitude and academic record in both 10th and 12th are referred by our team members directly or such students can directly apply to our Trust seeking for educational support. As a first step the students have to submit the filled request form along with necessary documents to the committee.

How are students selected for Dr.Kalam scholarship scheme?

As a first step the students have to submit the filled request form along with necessary documents to the committee. The committee after receiving the documents conducts a telephonic interview; the second phase involves physical verification of candidates by one of our Trust volunteers. Based on the verification students would be short listed and are then called for a personal interview. On successful completion of all the above process if the committee recommends the candidate as a genuine deserving candidate, he/she would be included as our beneficiary to receive the befits from the trust. These processes are followed to ensure that only deserving candidates get benefited.

Do we get scholarship for subsequent years?

It depends on the overall performance of the student in their academics.

How to be a volunteer?

Those interested can register as a volunteer in our website. They would be contacted whenever there is a requirement.

Donors

Who can sponsor the students?

Anyone who is interested in donating the complete Under Graduation expenses for minimum of one child can fund.

How much can we contribute?

No limits as such. It depends on the donors will and wish.

Will I be updated about the student(s) whom I’m sponsoring?

Yes, we will give you clear details when you meet us for sponsoring a student.

Can students be volunteers?

Yes, But monitory contributions will not be accepted from students until they go for a job.

Do you accept foreign funds?

No, as of now we don’t collect any foreign funds.
